Lebanese Canadian Profile
Experience
Rana Nassar moved from Lebanon to Toronto in the early 2000s to pursue higher education. After earning her PhD in Sociology, she launched programs at the Canadian Lebanon Society of Halifax (online collaborations) to promote Arabic language learning among second-generation Lebanese youth. She also runs annual storytelling nights, where elders share migration journeys with students. Her vision is to ensure that cultural memory doesn’t fade and that young Lebanese-Canadians see their heritage as a source of pride.
