The 17th Annual Cedar & Maple Gala
Lebanese Chamber of Commerce Nova Scotia

Halifax’s Most Anticipated Evening Returns Larger, Stronger, and More Influential Than Ever
What began as an annual gathering has grown into something far greater. The Cedar & Maple Gala now stands as the cultural and economic flagship of the Lebanes -Canadian community in Atlantic Canada, and one of Halifax’s most consequential social and business events of the year.
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the 17th Annual Cedar & Maple Gala returns to the Halifax Convention Centre, poised to surpass every previous edition.
One fact has become undeniable over time: this event sells out, every year.
The 16th Gala welcomed more than 850 guests, setting a new attendance record and filling the ballroom with an exceptional cross-section of influence. Senior elected officials from municipal, provincial, and federal levels attended alongside prominent entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, diplomats, and community leaders. The evening delivered tangible impact, with scholarship funding pushing total educational contributions beyond $200,000, and high-profile awards recognizing excellence in business leadership, innovation, and immigrant achievement.
Past editions tell the same story of steady ascent.
The 13th Gala drew nearly 800 leaders from politics, commerce, and the professional sector, solidifying the event’s reputation as a premier networking platform. The 15th edition elevated the experience further, introducing immersive visuals, high-value silent auctions, and expanded youth-focused initiatives. Even earlier galas consistently attracted hundreds of decision-makers, pairing refined Lebanese-inspired cuisine with cultural performances that helped define the gala as a signature Halifax institution.
Each year, attendance grows. VIP tables are claimed first. Prime seating disappears quickly. By the time late buyers inquire, the room is already full, and Halifax’s most connected figures are inside.
The 2026 program opens with a 5:30 p.m. reception, followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner and awards ceremony. Guests can expect an elevated culinary experience, live and silent auctions, and the prestigious Cedar & Maple Honors, celebrating leadership, resilience, and the shared Lebanese Canadian story. The audience traditionally represents a rare convergence of public service, enterprise, culture, and philanthropy, all under one roof.
Early ticket holders benefit from preferred pricing, priority access, and supporter recognition.
The Cedar stands for resilience and endurance. The Maple represents unity and belonging. Together, they frame an evening that bridges continents, industries, and generations. This is not simply a gala. It is a statement.
Be part of the legacy. Secure your place early. Halifax’s most important night does not wait.
CedarWhispers will be covering the event, continuing its mission to spotlight Lebanese Canadian entrepreneurs, businesses, and community achievements. Through dedicated coverage, the impact of the gala will extend far beyond the ballroom, amplifying success stories and strengthening connections across the diaspora.
