The Canadian Lebanon Society of Halifax is one of the oldest organizations in North American, founded in November 1938 by a group of first-generation Lebanese who wanted to maintain their connection to their heritage, culture and mother tongue. The Society continues to maintain this original mandate through its participation in the community and the establishment and commitment to the Lebanese Heritage Language School first opened in 1960.
