This website is for the Lebanese Canadian community in Halifax, but its roots and branches stretch far. It is where news meets memory, where culture meets conversation, where newcomers meet opportunity, and where heritage meets the future.

Gibran Khalil Gibran, Lebanon’s voice to the world, once wrote:

“The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed. The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.”

Those words ring especially true for the diaspora. Even when distance separates us from our homeland, Lebanon never leaves us. Its spirit unfolds within us, vibrant and alive. Its cedar is etched in our hearts. And yet, as dwellers of this blessed land, we also inherit its saga.

“The strength of the tree lies in its roots, not its branches.,” the age-old Mi’kmaq teaching reminds us.

Together, these truths remind us who we are: a people rooted in Lebanon, standing tall in Canada, unshaken by the storms of history.
