As imports became more expensive due to currency collapse, Lebanon has witnessed a revival in agriculture and local production. Farmers are reintroducing traditional crops, from olives to citrus fruits, and small producers are creating homegrown alternatives to imported goods. This shift not only reduces dependency on imports but also offers communities a measure of food security. While challenges remain—such as lack of subsidies and poor infrastructure—agriculture is once again emerging as a backbone of the Lebanese economy.
